Why a pledge?
Ritual creates memory. Memory builds habits. Habits keep fingers intact. Our pledge is a tiny ritual before each session; it anchors attention and respect for the craft.

Mission

Our mission is to remove fear from the workshop. We teach with quiet clarity, show every step twice, and turn safety into second nature. Students leave with confidence to build, repair, and design responsibly.

Approach

  • Do-first demos. We guide hands on tools, not slides. Each session begins with a short demo, then immediate supervised practice.
  • Tool minimalism. Learn the fundamentals with a compact kit: saw, chisel, plane, square. Mastery scales from there.
  • Checklists and cadence. Repeatable steps, clear stops. Noise down, attention up.

Unique value

  • Safety rituals that stick. Our pledge, warmups, and color-coded zones reduce incidents to near zero.
  • Micro-feedback loops. Every 8–12 minutes we checkpoint progress to prevent compounding errors.
  • Design clarity. We translate drawings to cuts with simple ratios and story sticks—math you can hold.

Studio rules

  • Eye and ear protection on machines
  • Sharp tools, slow feed
  • No loose sleeves or jewelry
  • Sweep and stow after each session
